The word power comes from the Latin word ‘posse’, which means ‘to be able’.
Before I recorded this video, I thought about the Phoenix archetype—its ability to rise, soar, live freely, have adventures as well as know when it is time to come to ground, enflame the Self, become ash; and be birthed anew.
Within the body, I was drawn to the parallel between the Phoenix archetype and our digestive system. Our cycle of eating, digesting, metabolizing, eliminating and eating again, which is of course how we derive physical energy from food that eventually becomes our life-force, powers us and animates us.
Our tummy sits in what we call the solar plexus, which means ‘sun network’. I learned recently that this name solar plexus comes from the network of blood vessels and nerves that branch out from the stomach area, and look a bit like the sun and it’s rays.
As such, in today’s video, we get comfortable and take a guided journey to feel our inner foundation, inner sun and forge our unique relationship with the energy that animates us everyday.
